This is a wonderful condition Imperial German Model 1889 Infantry Wrttemberg Officer sword and scabbard. The hilt is a gilded brass D shape fold away guard, and the side of the pommel has the embossed cypher for the leader of Wrttemberg. The grip is brass wire bound over sharkskin. The wire is in great shape. This model of sword would often have a leather fore finger loop on the inside of the guard, and this example
